Is the Elephant Pan Skybeds for Me?
Recently refurbished and renamed from its former identity as Hyena Pan, Elephant Pan is a beautifully camp situated in Botswana’s Khwai Private Reserve. The camp features 8 brand new ensuite tents, including a family unit, all positioned to overlook the productive natural waterhole.
The contemporary yet simple design incorporates vibrant pops of colour in the fabrics and furniture throughout. Surrounded by a mopane forest, the camp is a magnet for elephants, including impressive solitary bulls, offering guaranteed up-close encounters. Two underground hides also provide unique opportunities for ground-level wildlife photography.
Despite its name, the area supports rich biodiversity, including buffalo, lion, leopard, sable antelope, giraffe, and hyena, creating a vibrant scene around the waterholes where thirsty visitors gather.
