Is the Mwaleshi Camp for Me?
Mwaleshi Camp is a 40-minute flight from Mfuwe Airport in the vast wilderness of North Luangwa National Park. The camp is tucked away in a scenic bend of the Mwaleshi River, 10 kilometers upstream of the confluence with the Luangwa River.
In this remote area, there are few roads, so most activities are done on foot, following existing animal trails. As guests experience the variations in the magical diversity of the area, all senses become attuned to the surrounding bush.
Walkers explore the vastness of Africa on foot, accompanied by an experienced manager/guide and an armed National Park scout.
The camp provides a genuine sense of solitude and seclusion, with only four thatched chalets rebuilt annually from natural materials, en suite bathrooms open to the stars, and uninterrupted views of the spectacular Mwaleshi River. Life in camp is relaxing yet refreshingly simple.
