Is the Tembo Plains Camp for Me?
Tembo Plains Camp is located in the private forest along the edge of the Zambezi River, the 128,000-hectare Sapi Reserve, just east of Zimbabwe’s Mana Pools National Park.
The camp offers you six exquisite tented suites, including four double or twin-bed suites, each featuring a private indoor lounge area, outdoor swimming pool, verandah, and outdoor dining area.
The stunning Zanji Suite comprises two suites, each with a private shared lounge and dining area. All rooms boast expansive en-suite bathroom facilities, including indoor baths, showers, and double vanities.
Tembo Plains Camp’s unique design combines canvas and stone walls, an architectural nod to the ancient Zimbabwe Ruins.
The packstone wall design extends along the back of the guest accommodation, providing enhanced privacy while allowing for uninterrupted views of the Zambezi River just meters away.
You can spot painted dogs, lions, leopards, buffalo, and the camp’s namesake, elephants, which are often seen daily in front of the camp.
Activities include canoeing and boating on the Zambezi River, as well as guided wildlife viewing drives in open vehicles and walks.
