Is the Tswalu Loapi for Me?
Inspired by a new mood of unfiltered adventure, Loapi Camp evokes the carefree, nomadic spirit of camping and a return to a true wilderness experience that is both private and exclusive. There are six individual tented safari homes, each functioning as a stand-alone, independently run mini camp. Located in a beautiful and secluded valley, Loapi invites deep engagement with the southern Kalahari in all its unfettered, changeable beauty.
With at least 100 metres (330 feet) between each home, guests are assured of privacy and seclusion throughout their stay. Personal service is provided by a dedicated butler and all meals are prepared by a private chef in the interactive kitchen.
The camp comprises 4 one-bedroom homes and 2 two-bedroom homes, spanning over 300 square metres (about 3200 square feet) and over 400 square metres (about 4600 square feet) respectively. In Setswana, the name, Loapi, means ‘the space below the clouds’, aptly reflected in the camp’s environmentally sensitive, modular design suspended between earth and sky. All the elements of a safari camp have been incorporated into spaces conducive to communal dining and relaxation both indoors and outdoors, always with incredible, uninterrupted views across the valley. There are also private spaces to retreat into, including a private study.
