Wildebeest herd crossing the Sand River at Crossing nr. 1!
This herd was sighted near Purungat Bridge along the Sand River. The shallow water allowed the wildebeest a quick and easy crossing as they entered the Masai Mara. Many crossings have been happening around the Sand River these past few weeks, and many wildebeest have already crossed.

Wildebeest herds crossing at the Sand River!
These wildebeest were sighted crossing the Sand River by the border of Kenya and Tanzania. The Sand River is also a common spot for wildebeest to cross into Kenya, with multiple crossing points all along the route. Just like the Mara River, the wildebeest faces many dangers here.
