I traveled to a private game reserve, Victoria Falls, and then Cape Town. The itinerary and arrangements put together by my agent were perfect. The accommodations and experience at Sabi Sand reserve were incredible and well exceeded my expectations and worth every penny.
My accommodations in Zimbabwe ( Vic Falls and Chobe Nat’l Park) were very nice. Food at the Shongwe Oasis was lacking, but the service and ambiance were good. The prearranged tours of the Falls and Chobe were excellent.
My experience in Cape Town was mixed. The city tour was weak, but the trip to the Cape of Good Hope was spectacular. Table Mountain cable car was not doable due to weather. My initial accommodation was unsatisfactory, and my agent worked quickly with the management to move me to another property. Staying close to the water (Beach Rd) is ideal as the restaurants in walking distance are plentiful. Food is extremely good everywhere and inexpensive.
