Well organized and always available!
We booked our honeymoon safari trip with Discover Africa after we had gone through intensive research to find the perfect Botswana Trip. We couldn't find a solution that covers all our bases ourselves. Susan from Discover Africa took on our request and was able to find the perfect trip at Chobe National Park and Okavango Delta. She communicated very frequently with us and understood exactly what we were looking for. She was able to form a trip plan for us very quickly, and with a few small tweaks, we were able to agree on the trip details and booked immediately. The safari trip was managed very well. All necessary documents were provided with the app that had the trip itinerary available for offline viewing. Once we arrived in Botswana, all aspects of transport, game drives, food and accommodation were handled by the lodges and we barely had to lift a finger. We stayed at Elephant Valley Lodge in Chobe and Kadizora in Okavango Delta. Both lodges were amazing and the food was great. The game drives were stunning and well-spaced to allow us to rest and relax in between. We never felt rushed throughout the trip. Overall, Discover Africa Safaris was great to work with and they organized a fantastic honeymoon safari trip for us. Will definitely be using them again for future safaris!

Incredible!
From all 4 of us I just wanted to say a huge thank you to Discover Africa and Megan for putting this trip together for us - it was truly the holiday of a lifetime! Jarat Tours and our guide for the first few days, Rico, was amazing - so informative and organised, we felt very looked after. Nothing but compliments for the staff at the Hoyo Hoyo lodge, it was truly a slice of paradise. We saw many wonderful animals and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! Once again, thank you for putting such a wonderful trip together for us and for checking in on us consistently, it was much appreciated.

Our tour operator Susan was extremely prompt efficient with our travel plans.
The communication and service provided by this company was excellent. The tour was well planned and recommendations ensured we had stress-free travel. Any problems we encountered were met with a quick response and remedied without question. All connections were perfect.

An easy, transparent and responsive booking service!
I booked part of my honeymoon trip through Discover Africa with a lady named Susan who was so awesome! First, I’ll say as an American tourist who usually relies on tour advisor reviews I was a bit skeptical at first as I couldn’t find reviews for their service on that platform but Susan put my mind at ease via live phone calls, constant texting/emailing and keeping me informed each step of the way. We booked a safari in Kruger National and stayed at the Jock lodge along with a transfer flight to Zimbabwe. Each step of the trip went off without a hitch! Jock lodge has a massive allotment of land within the park and all of the folks that work there were nothing short of amazing! We spotted the big five within our first 30mins of entering the park! Food was great, alcohol selection was decent however my only issue with the accommodation were the racist pictures hanging in their upstairs lounge. There is no scenario where I pay multiple thousands of dollars and want to see slave like images on a wall as my ancestors were said slaves years ago. Pictures of animals and landscapes would probably work better, as that’s what we came to see.

Professional and experienced
Vihann helped me a lot with the planning of my first African trip. We had a Zoom call and told him my preference and my budget. He is efficient and gave me two proposals within 1 day. After confirmation, he would also answer any questions. If there is any problem or alteration during the tour, he also helped me with that. I will use them again when I planned for my next African trip

Exceptional service!
From the very first conversation with Susan from Discover Africa I knew we were in great hands. The communication between Susan and myself was great considering I live on the other side of the world (Melbourne, Australia) and Susan was always quick to reply to any queries. The information provided by Discover Africa was second to none. This was a special trip for my mum's 70th birthday and we were travelling as a large family group (8 adults, 12yo, 9yo) and Susan allayed any fears of travelling to South Africa. The safari that Susan suggested for us was perfect. We stayed at Beck's Safari Lodge in the Karongwe Reserve and this was absolutely amazing. 5 nights, 4 full days of game spotting, relaxing, and eating. This was indeed a once-in-a-lifetime experience for my family. Susan also helped us with the 2nd part of the holiday in Cape Town. She booked all of our transfers and tours for the week and this was fabulous. We didn't have to worry about anything as it was perfectly planned. I was in contact with Susan while in South Africa as we had some adverse weather and Susan was quick to rearrange some of the touring to different days so we could get the best out of our stay. I cannot thank Susan enough for her efforts in making this holiday of a lifetime so so easy to book. As I said, right off the bat the communication was amazing and we had a great experience booking with Discover Africa. Highly recommend Discover Africa and Susan for all of your needs in Africa.

Top Notch service! Great responsiveness, flexibility and dedicated customer service!
The experience overall was great and the support received by the tour operator and my dedicated customer service contact was far beyond my expectation. Being my first safari, I had a lot of questions that were always answered timely and their suggestions enhanced my whole experience and made this trip really special. They were also really flexible, shed some light and went the extra mile when we had to do last-minute changes because of some visa issues. I have already recommended Discover Africa to some of my friends and I am looking forward to planning my next trip with them. Special mention to Diane Du Plessis who was my dedicated contact!!

We saw everything
Over 10 days and 4 lodges we had amazing sightings of heaps of animals and were looked after by fabulous guides and staff. Megan made our trip super easy from the beginning to the end. I would definitely get Megan to help me help my next trip to Africa.

Wonderful!
We recently spent 11 days on a vacation in South Africa. Our tour was organized by Discover Africa and they did a fantastic job. We had originally made a deposit on a group tour with a well-known international tour operator, but I was concerned about the amount of travel time between destinations. Discover Africa was able to customize our trip and the price was much better, even when we lost the deposit on the group tour. I worked with Antoinette to plan our trip. She made recommendations which I reviewed and made any changes that I requested. For our transfers and tours, she booked Jarat Tours. The transfers were always on time, courteous, and used very nice Mercedes vehicles. The tours were well organized and we had a great guide, Sorita, for our Peninsula Tour. In Cape Town, we stayed at the Radisson Blu Waterfront which we felt was in a great location for us. We easily walked from the V&A Waterfront to the hotel, we used their free shuttle service, and we used Uber very easily here. They have a great breakfast buffet. Next, we went to Stellenbosch. Sorita with Jarat Tours was again our guide and driver and she shared her knowledge of the wine industry there. We had enjoyed three wine tastings. We had lunch at a really nice restaurant in Franschhoek. Reservations were made by the tour operator. We stayed at the Oulde Werf Hotel, which is near many restaurants. It was a charming and comfortable place to stay. The main reason for our trip was to go on safari. We went to the Hoyo Hoyo Safari Lodge in the Mluwati Concession in Kruger National Park. With only six charming thatched cottages, it felt like a very intimate safari experience. We saw so many animals and enjoyed delicious meals – it was simply wonderful. We probably would not have found out about this place on our own, so we are thankful that Antoinette recommended it. South Africa is a beautiful country. Even my husband said that he would like to go back – even with the really long flight! All of the hotel, tour, transfer, safari and domestic air arrangements were made by Antoinette at Discover Africa. They provided a very detailed online itinerary, contact information, and general information that was very useful. If we have the opportunity to return, I wouldn’t hesitate to use Discover Africa again.

Megan planned a great progression of experiences for newbies to Zambia.
We have just returned (June 8, 2023) from almost 2 weeks in Zambia, a safari trip planned & prepared for me, my son & my grandson by Megan Worthington with Discover Africa. It was our 1st trip to Africa & was wonderful, exceeding all expectations. We had 5 nights at South Luangwa National Park in 3 Robin Pope Safari camps, each one distinctive & in a separate area of the park & all exceptionally comfortable with delicious, abundant food & drink, perfect service & amazing guides. Konga, our 1st guide, detoured on the way to camp to see a pride of 5 lions at ease & napping. It was the beginning of many thrilling encounters with many animals with Konga, John & Sabastian all of whom had breathtaking knowledge of flora, fauna & history of Zambia. We moved on by air (quirky Proflight & charter) to Jeki airstrip & Lower Zambesi NP. Tapello, who guided us with Lawrence picked us up for our trip to Anabezi, our luxury camp on the Zambezi River for 4 nights. We had met Dennis, the camp manager at the Lusaka airport & had a lovely conversation while waiting for our flight. Unlike the Robin Pope camp managers, all of whom were also guides, Dennis had studied tourism & hospitality, which showed in the very high level of professionalism in all areas of this much larger camp. In addition to the now familiar routine of morning & evening/night drives we also went fishing for tiger fish (caught 2) & for another boat ride that put us at almost eye level with the ubiquitous hippos. Finally, we traveled on to Livingstone & Victoria Falls for 2 nights at the quite lovely & comfortable David Livingstone Lodge on the river. Vic Falls was almost at peak & stunning! Another thrill. Overall, Megan planned a perfect progression of experience for us newbies. I cannot offer enough praise for the guides & staffs, who enthusiastically & graciously shared their beautiful country with us. Old hand travelers told us that the end of the dry season has more sightings, as the animals move to the rivers. We saw plenty of animals & species (only missed the rhinos) & enjoyed the weather & greener landscape.

We wanted a honeymoon that was both action-packed and restful and Diane put together the perfect trip! After a long day of game drives, it was nice to come back to a beautiful and relaxing accommodation for the evening. It was everything we could have dreamed of and more!

Knowledgeable, Professional, Terrific!
Our trip was the trip of a lifetime! Spending two nights in Johannesburg after arrival gave us time to recover from the flight and get ready for our safari. Kapama was terrific! Our guides Jeffrey and Kenneth were knowledgeable, friendly and, truly, the best ever! We were "right there with the animals" as Jeffrey explained the animal's actions and reactions. He took us "off-road" searching for the leopard knowing it was in the vicinity. The staff was superb, the food choices were outstanding and our lodging was wonderful! Xakamapa had excellent tent accommodations and was with a resident hippo adding an exotic touch. The food, staff and safari team were great! Chobe was more of a high-end hotel with terrific amenities. Beautiful grounds and settings and creative, delicious buffets. On our safaris, we saw herds of elephants swimming and protecting the babies. We saw a pride of lions stalking buffalo and many other animals. We enjoyed Victoria Falls but were in the area only overnight. I also visited one of the local villages which was quite an education. These people are poor and work hard. Unemployment is rampant! Most of the workers in these camps work for two months straight and then go "home" for approximately 12 days. The majority of them also have children who are cared for mostly by their grandmothers. These workers (and their families) need these tips from the tourists to survive. I would like to suggest that more people visiting Africa visit these villages and schools for a variety of reasons. We usually make our own travel plans. This was the first time someone else has guided us. Susan was perfect! Everything was timely, safe and well thought out! She answered multiple questions and was a great support! Thank you, Susan! Well Done!
