First and foremost I want to say Thank You Antoinette for helping make our 1st trip to S. Africa all that and more.

I know it took several months to get it booked and you never made me feel like I was bothering you with all my emails asking for itinerary changes and bombarded you with all my questions.

Antoinette was great at providing options for different camps and different safari experiences and also giving us great advice on all things needed for our first safari.

We felt in good hands throughout the whole experience and had a wonderful holiday .

I can only begin in one place…and that’s with Megan at Discover Africa. She was amazing, throughout the complete planning experience. We made multiple changes to our itinerary (Sorry again, Megan!!) and she took every one of them in stride and was extremely understanding and patient. She is a huge asset to Discover Africa and I can’t say enough about her. She’s just perfect!

Our trip through Discover Africa was the most memorable trip I’ve ever taken. We started in Johannesburg, moved to Kruger, followed by Capt Town and then down through Hermanus and Plettenberg Bay. Every step of the journey was perfect. There was not one problem with Discover and that says a LOT, especially when you’ve booked a 3-week trip, half way around the world.

We will definitely work with Megan again!

I had wanted to go to Africa for a long time but as a young solo female traveller was slightly nervous. I decided to book through a company and Discover Africa were amazing.

I booked in 2019 for a trip in 2020 – then Covid hit. They were great with delaying my trip until 2021 and then 2022.

The trip itself was seamless – I was picked up at the airport and all my transfers throughout my stay were smooth. The locations that were selected for me were amazing.

Adelle was incredibly helpful and responsive whenever I had questions or concerns.
It was brilliant.

I think it’s important to first note that we originally booked this trip for a 2020 visit, and due to the outbreak of Covid, we had to postpone it … And postpone it again … And postpone it again … And then postpone it for health reasons … And then we were finally able to travel.

Through each of these re-bookings, we had the option of getting a refund or to move forward. The company never once suggested that we would lose money as a result of all the rebookings; also, each time we rebooked we made slight changes, and Alice was very flexible and able to accommodate.

Even wants we traveled, due to a slight passport glitch, Alice was able to jump in and assist us. The places we stayed were all excellent, the animal sightings were countless, the service, the food …. All were excellent! We truly enjoyed every minute of this experience of a lifetime! .

I had booked a trip with my nieces / nephew for July 2020, back in 2019. Needless to say, we did not go in 2020 – but DiscoverAfrica were great in assisting us to rebook and maintain the credit for 2021 – and then again for July 2022.

Good interaction with us in the prepping / documentation / what to pack, etc. Trip was wonderful – seamless – transfer / flight / arrival and departure.

DiscoverAfrica staff also helped us recover a camera and charger we had left in the boarding area of the charter flight.

We are beyond words in our satisfaction with Discover Africa and especially our travel agent Vihann.

When we initially spoke to Vihann about visiting he wanted to know what we hoped to see and do, as well as our budget. Vihann got back to us very quickly with the perfect personalized itinerary to celebrate our 45th. wedding anniversary.

The main reason for going was to see the animals and the migration. That expectation was definitely fulfilled. Our itinerary planned by Vihann was perfect for us. We loved the people, food, accommodations and special touches provided by our hosts to make it unique. We were very well looked after throughout our trip.

Vihann kept in contact to make sure everything was going well. What could be nicer than a private dinner and special celebration with music, dancing and champagne provided by our camp hosts! Our guides S.P in Ngorongoro and Andrew in Serengeti provided by Discover Africa were the best. They made sure we had many opportunities to take pictures of the animals and scenery. We were most impressed with their knowledge of the animals and culture. Our last few days spent at Nungwi Dreams Resort was a perfect ending to a perfect trip!

We are spreading the word to friends and family about your company. A trip like this should be on everyone’s “bucket list”.

I was wanting to celebrate my 60th birthday with an African safari with my son and Matthys with Discover Africa planned the most amazing itinerary for us!

Having been on safari before to Kenya and Zimbabwe, I wanted to share this wonderful experience with my teenage son. Matthys planned the perfect safari for us in Botswana. Beautiful wildlife, delicious food, awesome lodges!

Discover Africa organised 6 night safari to Maasai Mara Kenya for me in May 2022 as I was travelling on my own it was great to have Susan organise everything for me, I didn’t have to worry about anything from transfers to accommodation everything ran very smoothly.

I stayed at two different camp Ilkeliani Camp definitely being my favour wonderful small luxury camp. Being a wildlife photographer I managed to see and capture some amazing animals couldn’t ask for more.

I would book with Discovery Africa again took all the hassle and stress out of travelling on my own.

Our trip was postponed for two years due to COVID-19, the agency provided updates and continued communication during this time.

Our travel agent made recommendations based on our interest. What is even more valuable is that she have stayed at the camps and lodges she had recommended.

Our final itinerary included 2 days at Victoria Falls, 7 nights at 3 different camps in the Okavango Delta (west, north and east of the Delta).

My family of 4 (children 18 and 15) had an amazing trip and returned with stories that we will tell for a lifetime -leapoard kill, lions mating, the safari jeep off roading, the beautiful camps and staff, etc.

Definitely use Discover Africa for your safari planning, they are knowledgeable, experienced and most importantly, they communicate and were able to answer some of my security and safety concerns. Our travel agent, Alice also stayed in contact while we were on our trip. Thank you Alice and Discover Africa for your partnership with amazing local companies (transfers) and for your expertise in giving us the most memorable vacation ever.

Turn your South Africa trip into the adventure of a lifetime. My wife and I highly recommend planning that Africa sojourn with Megan Warrington of Discover Africa. Our trip exceeded all expectations.

She picked out great properties in the bush and Johannesburg. She made sure each property met our request for two separate beds.

She helped plan/execute special occasions during the trip:
1. A chauffeured, custom tour of the Johannesburg’s fashion scene.
2. A dinner in the bush and sleep out under the stars featuring cocktails, linen tablecloth dinner, dedicated chef, barman, guide and 24-hour security. It was super romantic, a scene from a reality TV show. (wish we could include the photos.)

Flawlessly handled all the in-country transits, even chartering a plane to deal with flight disruptions caused by flooding in Kwazulu-Natal.

Megan kept us continually posted throughout the planning and right up to Day 1.

Before and after the trip, Megan helped us contact property managers. Her efforts helped us acquire very memorable special coffee served at one resort.

We hope to return to Africa and if we do, Megan will be our first call.
