Places to Visit in Namibia and Why

Okonjima Private Game Reserve

The Okonjima Private Game Reserve is renowned for its leopards and offers exceptional wildlife viewing opportunities. In addition to leopards, the reserve is home to cheetahs, lions, hyenas, black rhinos, and various species of antelope.

Game drives here are eventful, as the dry winter months guarantee wildlife sightings.

Namib-Naukluft Park

One of the best times to visit the Namib-Naukluft Park is during the dry season, which begins in May.

In this desert, you will find desert-adapted animals, such as the springboks, giraffes, oryx, and various bird species.

Fish River Canyon

The Fish River Canyon hiking trail can be especially rewarding during the dry winter when the heat is much more bearable. Under clear skies and pleasant temperatures, you can see the unique wildlife and the canyon’s beauty up close.
