The suites have been revamped, now offering a wonderful glimpse of the history of Mala Mala with a lighter décor and open wide space.

This is a very private luxury camp that offers an intimate safari experience and very high standards of accommodation. Each suite is private, with a terrace and plunge pool, all with views over the river.

Delicious meals can be enjoyed in a variety of locations including outside under the clear sky filled with starts in the “boma,” on the deck, in the dining room or in the privacy of your own suite.

The lodge does not accept children under 16.

Mala Mala Game Reserve is one of the largest private Big Five game reserve in South Africa. Comprising 13 300 ha (33 000 acres), Mala Mala shares a 19 km (12 mile) unfenced border with the world-renowned Kruger National Park, and lies strategically sandwiched between the National Park and the Sabi Sand Reserve.

Every aspect of the Main Camp and Sable Camp is designed to appreciate and enjoy the view of the surrounding wilds. Pathways wind their way along the perimeter of the camp to reveal individual ochre colored units tucked into the greenery which flanks the Sand River. Massive trees and rolling green lawns are filled with birdsong, with the occasional antelope or elephant which seeks the succulence of greenery.

Mala Mala Sable Camp is situated at the southern end of Mala Mala Camp in a prime elevated position overlooking the Sand River and surrounding bushveld.

It is an intimate camp with 7 suites, and can be booked on an exclusivity basis, should you be a large groups of friends traveling together, or for a multi generational family.
