Devryn is a passionate safari consultant and Southern African specialist with over 10 years of safari and travel experience.
I was fortunate to grow up going to the African wilderness on a frequent basis and for the past 20 years, I've been venturing into the bush, observing nature and its wonderful wildlife. I love that it is so peaceful and so chaotic all at once. But what truly lights up my life is sharing the beauty of Africa with people from all corners of the world.
My journey began as a field guide in Northern Kwa-Zulu Natal, and later, I took a turn into the insurance field. I stayed in insurance for 5 years and yet, the wild kept tugging at my heartstrings, beckoning me to return. I visited the bush frequently while working in insurance, but I knew that I didn’t want to just be a visitor. That wasn’t enough. I knew that I wanted to work with it. I knew that my purpose was to help others experience it. So, I answered the call to the wild and set out to bring Africa's enchantment to a global audience.
In my current role, I have the joy of helping people experience their first encounters with the wild. Listening to their stories of spotting a leopard or witnessing the migration is pure magic – it's what makes the wild so extraordinary.
