Welcome to Namibia!

On arrival you are met by our representative who will assist you for your connection to Sossuvlei. The flight departs at 10h30 and you will be required to be there at least 1.5 hours before. Should you need a pre-night in Windhoek, let us know and we can provide you with several options.

Fly to Sossuvlei's airstrip where you are met by the guide and transfer you to the lodge. You have arrived in paradise, time to disconnect from your daily worries and take-in the most amazing desert landscapes. At night time, the sly fills up of millions of stars, and with no city lights, it provides a mesmerizing show.

Situated on the private Kulala Wilderness Reserve, Kulala Desert Lodge lies within easy reach of the iconic dunes of Sossusvlei. The lodge boasts 23 thatch and canvas kulalas with ensuite bathrooms and private verandas. Each unit is built on a wooden platform to catch the cooling breeze, and boasts a viewing deck on the flat rooftop. The main guest area houses a lounge, bar and dining area. A plunge pool irresistibly draws the eye out onto the desert landscape and a wrap-around veranda offers perfect views of the waterhole in front of the lodge.

Early morning drives depart to the famous Sossusvlei dunes, while a selection of nature walks and drives are also available in the private reserve. Your guide will discuss the activities with you and scheduled them as per your preferences and the weather.

Sossusvlei

Staying at Wilderness Kulala Desert Lodge

An exclusive-use gate from Wilderness Kulula Desert Lodge gives you early access to Sossusvlei, one of the most remarkable landscapes on Earth. Hike along the 30-metre deep Sesriem Canyon, where water has carved through the rock over millennia. Take a leisurely stroll near camp on the Tsauchab River Trail.

Challenge your fitness on one of the dunes, spot desert-adapted game and smaller creatures, or strike a pose alongside eerie, long-dead camelthorn trees in Dead Vlei. Your stay includes your meals and the selected local beverages, as well as two scheduled activities per day.

Day 3

Twyfelfontein

Staying at Wilderness Doro Nawas

After breakfast, you are transferred to the airstrip for the flight to Damaraland (the flight might go via Swakopmund).

Arrival on time for lunch at the lodge, and relax before the afternoon activity. You are back at the lodge on time for the dinner and night.

Experience a true cultural immersion at Doro Nawas, amid dramatic scenery and amazing desert animals. Engage with the local Doro Nawas community. Discover the fascinating ancient history and incredible geological phenomena of Damaraland. Glimpse black rhinos, desert-adapted elephants and more. Day 4

Twyfelfontein

Staying at Wilderness Doro Nawas

Overlook ancient plains, with glorious views of rough-hewn Damaraland stretching in every direction. Doro Nawas blends in with the surrounding ochres and rusts, embracing the desert in hues of orange, pink, and gold. Fall asleep under one of the least polluted skies on Earth, a canopy of infinite stars.

Rugged Damaraland feels like a frontier. Tabletop outcrops, small canyons, dry riverbeds, and golden savannahs reveal the animals that live within them: desert-adapted elephants, giraffes, zebras, oryx, springbok, bat-eared foxes, and more. Discover a desert landscape surprisingly rich with life.

Back at camp, in between the rocky outcrop, the 16 wood, canvas, and thatch suites at Doro Nawas open to the desert with glorious views in every direction. An inviting pool and private outdoor shower provide respite from the hot, Namibian sun. The airy verandas offer a shady resting place by day and by night, a space from which to gaze at, and fall asleep under, a blanket of a million stars.

Ongava Private Game Reserve

Staying at Ongava Lodge

After breakfast, you are transferred to the airstrip for the short hop to Etosha, arriving at the lodge's airstrip. Meet your safari guide and transfer to the lodge. Relax and have a light lunch before the afternoon game drive.

Ongava lies on the edge of Etosha Pan, a sanctuary where the balance of nature has been restored. Here, in a vast private reserve that was once unproductive farmland, rhinos roam free, in the company of lion, elephant, leopard, and an abundance of other species.

Spanning a rocky ridge in a range of dolomite hills known as the Ondundozonanandana — the word, recalling a local legend, means “the mountain where the boy took the calves” — Ongava Lodge features 14 spacious en-suite chalets crafted from rock and thatch, in keeping with their natural surroundings. The central dining area is fronted by two viewing decks, overlooking a waterhole frequented by rhino and other game.

Enjoy game viewing, on foot or by vehicle, your safari guide will organize your day as per your preferences and the wildlife movements.

As a private game reserve, Ongava offers a vast area to explore, and ample opportunity to encounter a wide diversity of wildlife up close. No two game drives are ever the same, so you can expect the unexpected as your guide steers the way from savannah to woodland to the fringes of a waterhole.

Perhaps you’ll see an elephant matriarch leading her young through the bush. Perhaps a pride of lion, resting in the shade before the hunt begins. Perhaps a family of rhino, a herd of springbok, a lone jackal slinking across the scrubland.

End Of Itinerary

Last morning in the wild. After breakfast, you are transferred to the airstrip for the scheduled flight to Windhoek Airport.
