Your 10-Day Itinerary

Welcome to Uganda!

Depending on your arrival time, you might require a night in Entebbe or stay at the airport to connect to your scheduled flight to Kasese (Flight time: 13h00/15h30).

When you arrive at the airstrip, please meet with your guide to transfer to Semliki Wildlife Reserve. The drive takes about 2 hours. This is a scenic drive with beautiful views of the Rift Valley. Check-in and enjoy some leisure time and dinner.

Morning breakfast followed by a boat cruise on Lake Albert to search for the famous Shoebill.

Return to the lodge for lunch and siesta. Late afternoon, enjoy a game drive with a stop for a sundowner in the forest.

This morning you will feast on a bush breakfast, followed by a guided primate walk with chances to spot forest elephants, chimps, and other monkey species.

We will return to the lodge for lunch and spend some time at leisure, read a book and reconnect with nature. We will find a scenic spot for a sundowner and enjoy dinner back at the lodge.

After breakfast, your guide will drive you from Semliki to Queen Elizabeth.

The scenic drive takes approx. 3 hours through tea estates and Fort Portal, with visits to the Rwenzori Founders Gallery and Rubona Women’s Basket Cooperative. You are then transferred to The River Station with a private boat access to the lodge. Lunch is served and you can relax before the evening dhow cruise for wildlife viewing. Back at the lodge for a hearty dinner.

Begin your day with an early breakfast before transferring by road to the northern part of Bwindi. The journey will take approximately 4 hours, bringing you to the start of your walking safari across Bwindi's famous forest. On this same day, you will say bye to your guide to be handed over to your local guide and Clouds Lodge.

Embark on an unforgettable hike through the forest, heading from the park's northern to the southern part. The trail is approximately 13 km and will take 2-3 hours to complete.

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is a vast, pristine natural reserve home to diverse wildlife. Look for monkeys, duikers, bush pigs, some of Bwindi's world-renowned bird species, and numerous butterflies.

After your exciting hike, proceed to Nteko, where you will meet with the lodge vehicle for a short 7 km transfer to your lodge. Once you arrive, check-in and enjoy some well-deserved leisure time at the lodge. Relax and unwind in the beautiful surroundings. Dinner is served at the lodge.

Today, experience your gorilla trekking excursion - your guide will transfer you to the headquarters for the briefing and the start of your hike in Bwindi to find the gorilla family. Once you have seen them, you will spend about 1 hour before returning to the lodge for a well-deserved meal.

Today is a leisure day, which you can fill with optional excursions or book a spa treatment and reflect on your spectacular few days in this beautiful country. Before travelling back home, you can resource in the fresh air and meditate with a few of the mountains surrounding you.
