Arrive Kilimanjaro Airport transfer and enjoy an evening at Rivertrees Country Inn in a garden room.

Day at leisure to relax , enjoy the gardens and large swimming pool, walk through the forest along the river, or book a day trip, depending on your time of arrival.

Day 2

Lake Manyara National Park

Staying at Wayo Manyara Green Camp

Breakfast at the lodge, meet with your safari guide and small group and depart for a morning Arusha city tour. Then travel to the South of Manyara National Park. Enjoy lunch at the Magara Waterfalls and mid afternoon mountain bike ride in to the South gate of Manyara National Park.

Lake Manyara is located on the edge of the Rift Valley and consists of a huge soda lake that covers two-third of the park. It is well known for its large troops of baboons, tree-climbing lions and rich variety of bird-life – from thousands of pink-hued flamingos to pelicans and eagles. Manyara holds a wide variety of habitats, such as groundwater forests, swamps, acacia bushes and the hot springs.

Late afternoon game drive to the Camp. Arrive at Wayo Manyara Green Camp nestled at the bottom of the beautiful Endabash waterfall - a reliable fresh water source for the local wildlife. Sundowners by the waterfall and supper under the stars.

Day 3

Lake Manyara National Park

Staying at Wayo Manyara Green Camp

Your day will start with a canoe safari on the lake. Lake Manyara is home to an incredible array of bird life, including thousands of pink-hued flamingos. You can get very close to giraffes, elephants, buffalos and other animals grazing on the shoreline. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery that surrounds you while you float on the water.

The afternoon is filled with another game drive, or if you prefer to spend some time swimming in the rock pools, before you head back to camp. Possibility to experience a night game drive and overnight back at the camp. During the night drive, you have the opportunity to look for the less seen animals such as porcupines, genets and civet cats. Hippos are quite active at night, and you might spot some of them grazing on the side of the road.

Day 4

Karatu

Staying at Plantation Lodge

Early morning game drive out of Manyara, you will enjoy a treetop walkway to start the day. This 370m airwalk starts with a short board-walk that gradually rises from ground level up through the canopy of the forest. You walk over a series of suspension bridges with thick netting on the sides, and reach a height of 18m off the ground. Each of the bridges end on a viewing deck situated around tree trunks. These treetop platforms are perfect places to stop and enjoy life in the canopy amongst butterflies, monkeys and birds.

You continue with a guided walk through the farming village of Mto Wa Mbu. Lunch is a delicious adventure while sampling the local cuisine, and the visit a banana plantation.

Transfer to Plantation Lodge, with some time at leisure to walk about the large gardens, enjoy a swim at the secluded pool before dinner and night.

Day 5

Ngorongoro Crater

Staying at Mysigio Camp

Early morning wake up call and check out. Morning drive through the Ngorongoro Highlands, and enjoy a game drive onto the crater floor.

The crater floor is grassy and attracts large numbers of herbivores like Zebra, Elephant, Wildebeest, and Buffalo, which are commonly spotted. Giraffes are occasionally spotted in this part of the conservation area. A real special of the crater is the Black Rhino, which is hard to spot in any other part of Tanzania. The crater also attracts large numbers of antelope species like Waterbuck, Impala, Topi, Oribi, Eland, Grants and Thomsons Gazelles. The water pools around the crater attract hippopotamus. Carnivores are also in the crater, they are attracted by the large numbers of herbivores. Lion, Cheetah, Spotted Hyena, Black-backed and golden jackal are commonly spotted.

Then exit the crater to reach the camp late afternoon, dinner and night.

Day 6

Serengeti (South or North)

Staying at Wayo Serengeti Green Camp North

Depart after breakfast for the drive up through the Serengeti with a packed lunch en-route.

Head out to the remote Wayo Serengeti Green Camp and enjoy sundowners. This will be your base for the next 3 nights. Depending on the time of the year, this mobile migration camp is either locate din the South (December and March departures) or the North of the Serengeti (July and August departures).

This camp has been through some recent renovation, including some local decor celebrating cultural groups and encouraging the development of local craftsmanship whilst bringing an innovative interior flair and high-level of comfort.

The tents offer a large 180 degrees mesh creating a picture-window frontage and taking the "inside-outside" experience to another level. Encased in a beautiful stretch canvas overhead, tents sensitively blend into the landscape whilst also providing shade and privacy.

Day 7-8

Serengeti (South or North)

Staying at Wayo Serengeti Green Camp North

You will be able to experience a morning walk in the bush, before heading out on game drive with the aim of spotting the Great Migration.

Serengeti National Park is a World Heritage Site teeming with wildlife: over 2 million ungulates, 4000 lions, 1000 leopard, 550 cheetahs and some 500 bird species inhabit an area close to 15,000 square kilometers in size. Time will be spent exploring the endless Serengeti plains dotted with trees and kopjes from which majestic lions control their kingdom.

Back at camp for dinner under the stars and a good night sleep.

Day 9

End Of Itinerary

Last morning in the bush, after breakfast, you will depart the camp to drive to the local airstrip. Depending on the season, it will be either Kogatende or Seronera. Say your good byes to your safari guide and fly to Arusha.

Arrive at Arusha airport and road transfer to Rivertrees where you will have a day room at disposal to freshen up before the transfer to Kilimanjaro airport for your flight back home. Contact us should you wish to extend your safari, or include a beach extension to Zanzibar for example.
