Walking Safari in the Serengeti

Day 1-2

Serengeti (North or South)

Arrive at Kilimanjaro airport and transfer to the domestic terminal for the flight to the Serengeti. Depending on your arrival times you might need a pre-night in Arusha, contact us for options.

Fly to the Serengeti (North or South - depending on the season) and meet with the camp safari guide. Enjoy the day game driving around the Mara River and looking out for potential river crossings, during season when herds are around. Arrive into Serengeti Green Camp for sundowners by the open fire and supper under the stars. The next day is another game viewing day with drives in the surrounding area or along the river. Head back to camp for sundowners and supper.

Day 3-4

Serengeti (North or South)

Staying at Wayo Walking Camp

Head out today on foot in pursuit of the Wayo Waking Camp set deep in the plains. Enjoy experiencing a different kind of safari at a closer level. Breakfast will either be in camp or en-route. Arrive into Walking Camp for lunch and spend the afternoon relaxing, reading and game viewing from your tent. Enjoy sundowners on the kopjes, supper in the plains and overnight in your gauze roof star tent. The next day is spent exploring the local area on foot - tracking and looking for clues of what visited during the night. Head back to camp for lunch and then enjoy a later afternoon walk followed by sundowners.

Day 5

Lake Manyara National Park

Staying at Wayo Manyara Green Camp

After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for the flight to Lake Manyara. Once there, meet with your safari guide and transfer through to the Park.

Enjoy a wandering game drive discovering a range of animals from elephants, to large troops of baboons and maybe some of the lions known in the region for spending time on the trees. Arrive at camp and relax before the sundowners on the riverbed by the waterfall.

Day 6

Lake Manyara National Park

Staying at Wayo Manyara Green Camp

After breakfast, set off for a canoe safari through the waters of Lake Manyara. Spot wildlife on the shore or enjoy the tranquility as well as viewing the animals from a different perspective.

Back to camp for lunch and then out for game drive. Today you will enjoy an early supper as you set out again after dark on a night game drive. During this thrilling time in the bush, you are guided by all your senses, while your guide will point out the creatures with a spot light.

Day 7

End Of Itinerary

Last breakfast in the bush before the transfer to Manyara airstrip.

Fly to Kilimanjaro airport and time at leisure until your flight out, we can organize a day room or some activities depending on your flight times. Alternatively you can extend your stay with a few days on the beach, or a gorilla trekking.
