A Safari Style Wedding Anniversary in Africa

We booked our 10-day safari in Tanzania and Kenya through Discover Africa, and it exceeded every expectation. From our first conversation through the end of our journey, everything was exceptionally well organized, allowing us to focus entirely on enjoying the experience.

A special thank you to Bianca, who helped us design our itinerary. She was knowledgeable, responsive, and incredibly patient throughout the planning process. We had a lot of questions, compared multiple itinerary options, and made several adjustments along the way. Bianca always provided thoughtful recommendations, explained the tradeoffs, and never made us feel rushed. Her expertise was invaluable in building an itinerary that perfectly matched what we were looking for.

Every transfer, flight, and accommodation was seamlessly coordinated. We never had to worry about logistics, and everything ran exactly as planned.

The itinerary itself was phenomenal. We experienced Cape Town, Victoria Falls, Tanzania, and Kenya, culminating in an unforgettable safari where we witnessed the Great Migration, saw the Big Five, and had incredible wildlife encounters throughout. The accommodations Discover Africa selected were all excellent, each offering something unique while consistently delivering outstanding hospitality and service.

What impressed us most was that Discover Africa didn’t simply book hotels and flights. They helped craft an experience. The pacing of the trip, the choice of camps, and the routing between destinations all came together to create a vacation we’ll remember for the rest of our lives.

All bookings were at luxurious and convenient places. The camp tents are beautifully decorated with a rustic look and feel. Food service were amazing for most part. The bush drives are as best as it could be given the rainy season etc. Punctuality has been an added attribute.

We flew from Cape Town to Hoedspruit and then seamlessly transferred to the most beautiful lodge in the Karongwe private game reserve. We stayed at Kuname Lodge and it was perfect, the setting, the staff and the lodges were all wonderful and the food was amazing. The game drives from the lodge were so well organised and we saw so much big game.

The transfer back to airport and flight back to Cape Town were also seamless so the whole experience is everything we could have asked for.

If anyone asks me where to look when booking a South Africa adventure then I would say that they do not have to look any further than Susan!

This was our first time going on a Safari, and also the first time using a travel expert to organise part of our trip. It was an extensive planning process to put together a 24 day safari and adventure trip covering Victoria Falls, Mana Pools and Hwange Park in Zimbabwe, followed by a wonderful experience in Botswana on the Chobe River and Okvango Delta. There were flight considerations and a few changed plans along the way. I was worried that I was becoming a bore but no, Adelle was just as excited to plan my trip as I was to go on it. Finally the day arrived and I boarded my flights and arrived in Victoria Falls after 36 hours of travel. There waiting for me was my shuttle driver and the hotel was amazing. The next day the same level of service and off to Mana Pools I went. Same wonderful level of service.

But 1.5 days later I fell in the middle of the night and fractured two discs in my back. The care and support I received from Adelle is what got me through what could have turned into a tragedy. She was there for me every step of the way and continued to check in with me after I was finally safe at home. I don’t know what I would have done without her. A 5 star rating is simply not enough. Discover Africa and Adelle deserve a million stars. Once my back is healed we will begin the planning process again. They have won not only my repeat business but also my heart. I cannot sing their praises loudly enough.
