Is the Kokoko Camp for Me?
Kokoko Camp, set in the prime wildlife area of Ruaha National Park, offers an exceptional safari experience focusing on exploring the wilderness with an expert guide.
Booked on a private basis for up to 6 guests, this intimate camp allows you to spend your days discovering the Mwagusi River region through walking safaris, game drives, and night drives, all hosted by one of Asilia’s top guides.
The camp’s proximity to the Mwagusi River makes it one of the best locations in Ruaha for game viewing, with wildlife gathering at waterholes dug by elephants and predators lying in wait. The classic, expedition-style tented camp features just three guest tents, each simple in design with mosquito net mesh to maximize the outside-in views. The en-suite bathrooms include flush toilets, bucket showers, and hand basins, with weatherproof covers that can be folded back on clear nights for stargazing.
A typical day at Kokoko Camp begins with a wake-up call and breakfast before embarking on a morning walking safari or game drive. Afternoons are spent relaxing or napping before an evening game drive and sundowners. Night drives offer a unique opportunity to spot shy, nocturnal animals and their prey, while hot-air balloon safaris provide a breathtaking view of the sunrise over the baobab-studded landscape.
